Alfred F. Jones
"Jones" is apparently one of the most common surnames in America. There is some speculation that it could refer to Indiana Jones, since America had stated one time that one of his hobbies was archaeology.
“Alfred F.” was most likely a pun on Alfred E. Neuman, a character in a famous magazine (Mad?).
Some say the “F” in his middle name was based off of John F. Kennedy, a famous president of the United States.
Himaruya stated that his original plans for the F “were to stand for “Franklin”, “Foster”, or “Fuck”.” (Fuck?! Really. Alfred Fuck Jones?!”
) It is also said that
“his name is a reference to the USS Alfred, the first ship to fly the Grand Union Flag. The man who hoisted the flag was John Paul Jones. Another likely reference would be Alfred Hitchcock, who is famous for his suspense films, which would explain America’s video game and movie preference.” (American history for you all. I’m tired now.)
